Will everyone please welcome KING TOPHER GRACE otherwise known as Topher or Tater to my family. This is my first English Springer Spaniel.  He was born July 9th, 2002.  In this picture he is 8 weeks old.  He was brought home to Charlotte from Maysville, SC on Friday the 6th of September.  The next day we went to the Pet Parade in Charlotte where Topher met a lot of his look-alikes at the ESRA booth. He was a big attraction and very tired after.  At the Pet Parade in Freedom Park I brought Topher to an obedience/agility test type thing.  There is did heel, sit, figure eights, doggy push ups (sit down sit) and then weaved around some poles, a 5 second pause box, a sit-stay and then a sit-stay-recall.  AND HE PASSED!! He didn't make any placements because he's slower than all the big dogs but he did pass!! Sunday he went to a flyball practice and wanted to play so bad but couldnt make it over the hurdles.  He starts his agility classes September 15th. 

My plans for Topher:  get as many titles as possible!!  I want to get him into flyball, agility, maybe frisbee, obedience, field trials, and maybe get him into a commercial or two. 

So far we've done...: A TON of training!  Flyball is off to a great start! Freestyle is also taking off.  The first agility Show/Go is in Columbia, SC Saturday the 18th of January.  There we will meet people interested in Freestyle.  The Sunday following that there is a Show/Go in Charlotte, NC at PKC.  There we will meet someone willing to help us work on Frisbee.  Stay posted for results and pictures!
